1. Are you looking forward to playing Wexford, especially that London have home advantage?
 
Its good to have the game in Ruislip alright, last year was tough for us against Down in the Qualifier because we had to travel and play on the same day, it was literally straight off the bus and onto the pitch.  Wexford will be a tough game for us, they really should have beaten Dublin a couple of weeks ago, so will obviously be looking to banish the memories of that game and get their Championship back on track, hopefully our lads will have other ideas!

2. How do you see todays game with Wexford going?
 
With regard to ourselves, Im hoping we can produce a better performance that we did against Roscommon, when we were never really at the races.  We didnt do ourselves justice at all so today is a chance to redeem ourselves, if we apply ourselves properly then we have a chance.

3. Who do you think are the biggest threats from the Wexford team?
 
The obvious answer is Mattie Forde, but Wexford are far from being a one man team.  They have the likes of PJ Banville, Stephen Roche, Ciaran Lyng and Colm Morris in their ranks so they are not over reliant on any one particular player.

4. How do the rate Londons year so far?
 
The league was disappointing.  For several different reasons we never had what you might call our "strongest" 15 available to us, so results were disappointing.  Some of the performances were decent, but not enough to get us over the winning line.  We worked very hard but just didnt get the results.  As regards the Championship, again it was very disappointing, as I said before we never showed up, we had prepared very well but just flopped on the day.

5. What do you think was Londons best performance so far and who have been the most consistent players?
 
I dont like pointing out any particular individuals, all of the players have worked very hard all year and really pushed each other on, we have a great team spirit, so its unfair to pick out any individuals, they have all had a role to play at different stages of the season.  Our best performance will hopefully be today!

6. Who do you rate as the top players in Ireland at the moment? 
 
Based on the Championship so far and what I have seen of it, Colm Cooper and Kieran Donaghy are really on form, Benny Coulter of Down and David Kelly from Sligo have been impressive, as well as Sean Cavanagh (Tyrone).  One player however I have been really impressed with so far is the Meath wing forward, Graham Reilly, great work rate and putting up big scores from play.

7. What are your hopes for the London Senior Football team in the future. 
 
The team has to become more self sufficient in years to come and use more "home grown" players, providing they are of the necessary standard and have the right attitude; however this will not happen overnight.  Its disappointing to say that several London born players were asked to come out with London this year and other years and a lot refused for one reason or another.  They have to realise that they need to make sacrifices to play senior inter county football the same as anyone else who togs out for London.  The players who have come out with London and stuck with it have improved immeasurably, the likes of Philip Morgan, who is almost back to his best after a bad knee injury, Brendan Mulrooney, a great keeper, and Adrian Moyles, a fast and accurate forward, their performances for their clubs recently and in the forthcoming championship will hopefully prove that, once these players come out and are willing to listen and learn, will improve as a consequence.  The lads I have mentioned are testament to the fact that if these home grown players are willing to commit and stick with it, then London and their clubs will benefit, the likes of Brendan, Philip and Adrian will keep improving because they have the right attitude and are great trainers, and I am sure they will cement their places on the London team in the future.

Jason Ryan insists there will be no room for sentiment when Wexford travel to Ruislip for their All-Ireland qualifier with London.
Model County manager Ryan played for the Exiles in both football and hurling from 1999 to 2003, during which time he won Senior Championships with Tara and St. Gabriels.
Wexford lost out to Dublin after extra time in their Leinster quarter-final, and Ryan admits that the trip to London is a potential banana skin.
“It’s a bit of a worry really,” he said. “I can just reflect on last year when London played Down in Newry. Down totally underestimated them and London will probably look back on that as a game they could have won. They had Down on the rack for a large portion of that game.
“With the influx of more players this year, London could be more dangerous. I spoke to Noel Dunning before the Roscommon game, and he was so confident that they could get a result. The fact that they didn’t would worry me.
“It could swing both ways. They might have regrouped after the Roscommon game and said they’d give the qualifiers a right rattle, or decided to focus on their club football. Only Noel and the players know the answer to that, but I certainly won’t be underestimating them. We played them in a challenge game last year and it was a tough game, so there’ll be no complacency from us.”
Wexford were three-point winners in that challenge game last year, and Ryan admits it will be a bit of a strange occasion coming up against his former county in competitive action for the first time.
“I suppose it is a bit, but we played them last year and they’ve played Waterford in the National League for the last few years, so I’m kind of past that now,” he said.
“I’m still in contact with Sean Faughnan and Proinnsias Redican from Tara. They were very good to me when I was living in London, and I was delighted to be invited back for their anniversary dinner last year.
“But my allegiance is 100 per cent with Wexford, that’s all I’m interested in. I couldn’t care less about any other county as long as we’re winning games.”
Despite the setback against the Dubs, Ryan saw enough positives to suggest that Wexford can embark on a run through the qualifiers, starting with victory over London.
“The qualifiers are a nightmare but, thankfully, we’ve had almost two weeks to prepare for London,” admitted the Waterford native.
“Dublin probably fancy their chances of winning an All-Ireland, and we should have beaten them. So that in itself is a positive. If you can keep a team to two points in a half of football you must be doing something right.
“If we go over to London and win by one point I’ll be happy.”
