Tir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes:

 

Seniors:

The senior team played KKG in round 1 of the Tipperary cup last Saturday at Greenford and recorded a 2-16 to 4-6 victory.

Best on the day were Philip Butler, Declan Lennon, Barry Mitchell, Jon Mc Nicholas and Cathal O’Neill.

 

Fixtures:

The senior team play this Sunday 23rd March against Round Towers in round 2 of the Tipperary cup, at Mitcham with a 3-30pm throw-in.

The junior team kick off their season against Thomas McCurtains in round 1 of the McArdle cup, also on Sunday with the game to be played in Goodmayes with a 2pm throw-in, all support welcome for both games.

 

Paddy Burke:

Well done to club President Paddy Burke on receiving his Presidents Award last Friday from Uachtaran Liam O’Neill for services to Gaa.

The event was recorded live on TG4 with Paddy giving an interview beforehand and getting a personal tour of Croke Park stadium.

 

Membership:

Can anyone who has not paid their membership yet please do it this week.

London St Patrick’s Day Parade:

Well done and many thanks to all of our club members who done us proud by participating in the Saint Patrick’s Day parade last Sunday.

A great day was had by all in the sunshine at Trafalgar Square.
