U14's Feile Peile na Nóg  in Derry 2013South London Report- All Ireland Champions

We  have returned from a magnificent weekend in Derry with South London being  crowned Division 4 All Ireland Champions. Ninety six boys' teams took part and  we were placed in Division 4 with 15 other teams. South  London opened the competition with comfortable victories over the two local  teams Limavady Wolfhounds GFC and Dorie Trasna GFC. In our final  group game we came up against Enniskillen Gaels of Co. Fermanagh; we had to win  this game to progress in the competition and our opponents had an unbeaten  record for the last two years! The game ebb flowed and flowed with both teams  having the ascendency at different stages. With two minutes remaining South  London trailed by a point but up stepped Will Ozono to score three  unanswered points which helped us record a two point victory. This game was  described by many of the large attendance as being the game of the  tournament!

In  the semi-final, South London recorded a comfortable victory against the  Champions of Co. Westmeath, St Loman's and in the final they  defeated Ennistymon of Co. Clare by 2 -12 (18pts) to  1 - 00 (3pts) to win the All Ireland title. A  full photograph gallery is available on www.desmondloughery.com and  you can find the link for the five games.

Skills test Darrgh Mahon came joint second place. London's third game was against Longford Slashers with a final score of London 1-08 to 2-05 Longford Slashers
At 4pm on Saturday London played Clonmel in the semi final where Clonmel started off by getting 3 goals in the first ten mins, but London were amazing in the second half and very nearly equalised in the last ten mins. They missed out on a chance of a goal and sadly lost out. The final score was London 3-06 to 3-11 Clonmel. Congratulatios to Clonmel who went on to win the Feile. A huge  Thank You to our hosts Glenullin who gave them all a great welcome and looked after the  children and mentors who all had a brilliant weekend
