London v Fermanagh preview

On the back of the success of London's historic 2011 All Ireland Gaelic Football Championship there is great optimism for the year and London Gaels will be hopeful the the team can repeat or even better the success in 2012 under the guidance of Manager Paul Coggins and his backroom team. London competed for the first time in the FBD Connacht Football League, and acquitted themselves very well with some very promising performances.

There is great excitement and interest in Sunday's match with the build up already attracting plenty of attention. London will be keen to prove that last years win over Fermanagh was no flash in pan. They have prepared well in the hope they can repeat the success over Fermanagh by getting the league campaign off to a winning start.

Fermanagh may feel they have turned the corner and are buoyed by a change in management in 2012 as they have acquired the services of ''Peter Canavan. Peter has already seen an upturn in Fermanagh's fortunes in recent pre-season McKenna Cup games. Canavan would have targeted victory over London as a must as he sets his sights on guiding Fermanagh to promotion at the end of the League.

London are very much looking to the first home fixture of the League and improving and progressing as a serious team, and further ahead to the Connacht Championship Qtr Final v Leitrim on Sunday 3rd of June in Ruislip.

Should be a healthy attendance for this season opening fixture on Sunday.
