Tara Camogie Club

Tara Camogie Club London are currently recruiting and want you!

You dont need to have played Camogie before and we cater for all ages with current club members from age 12 to 40+. We also have players who have never played previously to players of exceptional standards who made history in 2011 by being the first London camogie team to reach an All Ireland Final .   You also dont need to be Irish to play!!  We have current and past members born and raised in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Germany and more. Even if you are working or travelling in the UK for a short period of time we would love to hear from you.
We compete in both Championship and League competitions in London so welcome new players throughout the year. We participate in the Birmingham 12-a-side tournament and also try to make a trip to Ireland annually to either visit a club, participate in the Kilmacud 7s or seek to compete in the All-Ireland Club quarter finals.
We also host an annual Camogie 7s competition which this year is set for Saturday 14th April 2012.  This includes both Senior and Junior competitions and we usually have 5 or 6 teams over from Ireland for the weekend to participate.

Training takes place at Tir Chonaill Park, Berkeley Avenue, Greenford, UB6 0NZ usually twice a week (Monday and Wednesday for the last few years) from 7.30pm and is easily reached by tube from either Sudbury Hill (piccaddilly line) or Greenford (central line). Lifts can be arranged from surrounding stations. We normally have a match on one day of the weekend with the odd midweek local game during summer

Equipment of hurls and helmets are available through the Club but you are advised to bring your own shin guards and football boots.

If you fancy taking up camogie or returning to the sport then please contact us as follows.:   Sheila Fernandes             0208 561 3544       / 07771957341 http://www.camogie.co.uk/ Facebook: Tara Camogie London Follow us on Twitter: @Tara_Camogie_UK
