Whilst the winter training continues, the U14 Girls took to the outdoors in horrendous conditions on Saturday when they participated in the first Provincial Blitz of the season in Greenford.  With teams from London, Birmingham and Scotland in attendance the girls were unfazed by the inclement circumstances they found themselves in and it was fantastic to see them win all their games including the final.  The management were impressed with their total commitment and the talent displayed especially by the younger U12 players who have just moved up to join the more experienced U14 girls.

Our team line out:  Eva O’Rouke, Ciara Moore, Brea Corrigan, Ava Ruddy, Alice O Brien, Daniella Ishmael, Sorcha Moran, Rhianna Roache and Emer Fadian.  Many thanks to the players and parents who turned out and to the organisers for facilitating the event.  A positive start to the new season.  Well done girls.

Diary Dates:  Dinner Dance at The Claddagh Ring on the 24th February 2018, from 7pm, music by Darren Nash.  If you would like to attend, contact Tony Griffin on 07966 160999 or Veronica Bailey on 07768 635534.  The Youth have started to plan the U12/13 annual football trip to Ireland.  This year’s destination is Tipperary.  Details of ‘The Trip to Tipp’ will be made available in full soon but the itinerary is looking packed and very exciting.

The club would like to extend their condolences to Anne Colleran and her family on the recent passing of her mother, Rita Colleran and also to Liam Taylor and his family on the passing of his father Jack Taylor who resided in Frinton, Essex but lived in Killarney for many years.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of them. May they both rest in peace.

Next Youth Meeting on the 13/2/18, 8pm at The Green Man in Kingsbury.  Parnells Senior are proposing to schedule their AGM for the 26th February, time and venue to be confirmed.
