The next meeting London Youth Committee meeting will take place on Monday the 19th of February at 8.30pm at McGovern Park in Ruislip, HA4 6QX. Please ensure that all clubs are in attendance.


London GAA will be re-launching the U17 Gaelic Football Development Tournament

London GAA will be re-launching the U-17 Gaelic Football Development Tournament The Tournament will be played at 11-a-side to afford every Club the opportunity to field a team in their own rightA panel will consist of 16 players for each weekend and must be handed in before 3.30pm each week - panels can be changed from week to week. There will be an unlimited use of substitutes throughout the Tournament so players can come on/off. The matches will be played every Saturday night under floodlights in Greenford (UB6 0NZ).The Tournament will start on Saturday, February 24th and continue for 5 weeks.The Tournament will be run in a Blitz format and the matches will be 10 minutes per half. Each team will play each other each week, with the top two teams progressing to the Final. Points will be awarded for your final position each week e.g. 1st - 10 points, 2nd - 8 points, 3rd - 6 points etc. in the overall League Table.There will be a 'Finals Night' on Saturday, March 24th.The London GAA U-17 Development Squad Management will be in attendance at these matches and this year's Development Squad will be selected after the Tournament has been completed. London Ladies underage girls tournament for 2018
London Ladies were hosts to their first underage girls tournament for 2018 which was held in Greenford on Saturday the 10th of February. Over ninety girls participated from various clubs St Kienans joined in with TCG and Taras team, John Mitchells Birmingham, Duneiden Og Scotland, Parnells London, Tara's London, Tir Chonaill Gaels London
In spite of the poor weather conditions games still went ahead The U14 played in the morning followed by the Over 14's in the afternoon. The girls really enjoyed their games with lots of development with great skills displayed during play. A big thanks to all the referees and to Tir Chonaill Gaels for the kind use of their facilities. Thanks to the host families in London as always the Duneiden Og Scotland girls enjoyed been entertained during their stay. A big thanks to Development Officer Claire Towey and Childrens Officer Colleen Lynott and all on the London Ladies County Board who were involved in making this a successful tournament


Level One Gaelic Football Coaching Course
London GAA are running a Level One Gaelic Football Coaching Course over 2 weekends: February 16/17/18th, March 2nd/4th - all of which will be in McGovern Park, Ruislip (HA4 6QX).The Course will run from 9 am until 5 pm on weekends with a half an hour Lunch Break at 1 pm - lunch is provided. Fridays will be from 7 pm until 10 pm.There will theory based work and practical work involved in the Course so coaches should bring appropriate training gear/footwear.


London GAA Hurling Games Centres
London GAA will be re-launching our Hurling Games Centres on Saturday, February 17th in Mitcham Rugby Club (SM5 1EE) at 1pm and Hazelwood, Sunbury-on-Thames (TW16 6QU) at 4pm. The Hurling Games Centre will continue at the same time for 5 weeks and provide every child in London and beyond, regardless of whether they are club affiliated or not, the opportunity to take up hurling and play it an enjoyable and safe environment. The dates for the Centres are February 17th, March 3rd, March 24th, April 21st and April 28th. All boys and girls from 6 - 16 can participate with equipment provided at the Hurling Games Centre and there will be NO CHARGE to participants so all the children have to do is show up and play the game. All are welcome and we intend to advertise this within the clubs and schools and also to promote it through the various social media outlets but please pass on the information to anyone that you think may be interested. Our intention is for the Hurling Games Centre to drum up interest in the game and encourage a whole new generation to enjoy our native sport!

The John West Féile Peil na n-Óg for 2018
The John West Féile Peil na n-Óg, will take place on Friday 29th June, Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July which will be hosted by Counties Down, Louth and Meath in 2018,


All Britain Competitions (ABC) for 2018
The All Britain Competitions for 2018 will commence on Thursday 12th of July until Sunday the 15th of July
