Parnells Club Notes 4.2.2018

It’s great to see so many of our young players enjoying the training sessions.  Attendance has been super and the enthusiasm is second to none with everyone keen to get involved and learn new skills.  It bodes well for the new season ahead.  Reminders as follows:  the girls (U12/14) sessions are taking place every Wednesday from 6-7pm at Hatch End High School, Harrow.  For details, contact Fiona Corrigan on 07940 568702.  The U6-U12’s is taking place every Friday from 6-7pm at Cedars Youth and Community Centre, Harrow.  The club has use of the indoor facilities for U6/8’s and the 4G Astro Turf pitch for those older up to Yr. 6.  All boys and girls welcome for those new or familiar to the club.  Please see the download section on the website for further details.  Details of winter strength and conditioning training for the older youth players to be announced shortly.

The Senior players will soon be in action with a seeding game for the Championship taking place on the 18th February.

Diary Dates:  Dinner Dance at The Claddagh Ring on the 24th February 2018, from 7pm, music by Darren Nash.  If you would like to attend, contact Tony Griffin on 07966 160999 or Veronica Bailey on 07768 635534.  The senior section annual meeting date is to be confirmed.  The Youth have started to plan the U12/13 annual football trip to Ireland.  This year’s destination is Tipperary.  Details of ‘The Trip to Tipp’ will be made available in full soon but the itinerary is looking packed and very exciting.

The club would like to extend their condolences to Father Dermot O’Neill (All Saints Church, Kenton) on the passing of his mother Elizabeth O’Neill (Bess).  A mother to a large family who had her 100th birthday last year.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, may she rest in peace.

Next Youth Meeting on the 13/2/18, 8pm at The Green Man in Kingsbury.

For all Parnells Club activity, please visit our website http://www.parnellsgaa.com where further details and information is published.
