PRO Club Notes Parnells GAA 29.10.2017

A somewhat unusual couple of weeks for the club where no games were played!  The season for Parnells has almost drawn to a close with only one game left to play and that will be the Minor (U18) Championship Final taking place on the 4th of November against St Kiernans at Greenford.  Throw in at 2pm.  Potentially this will be a close and enthralling match as the U18 team will want to repeat their excellent form of the season so far with their sights firmly on the Cup.  Let’s make sure the team have everyone’s full support.

The next main event for the club is the Annual Youth Presentation which is to take place on the 19th of November at Ruislip GAA Clubhouse.  There is no better place to have our event this year with the redevelopment of the grounds having taken place and to give young players who haven’t yet had a chance to savour the new stadium an opportunity to gaze out on to the ground and have a taste of where youth finals will hopefully be played next season.  The afternoon is split as follows:  arrival from 2pm, U6-U10 presentation from approx. 2.30pm.  A brief break from approx. 4-4.45pm for a buffet followed by U12-Minor from 5pm. Family fee entry which will include raffle tickets and buffet.  We look forward to seeing everyone.

Well done to the Parnells boys Ronan Carolan, Alex Wilson, Riain McDonnell, Darragh Egan and Tadhg O’Slatara who joined forces with players from St Clarets, Tara, Fr Murphys and St Josephs to form a team to represent Fulham Irish and play Tir Chonaill Gaels in the Go Games U10 Exhibition match played during half time in the Senior Championship Final. They all really enjoyed the experience.
