Upcoming Fixture:

Harlesden Harps continue their VGC Services Intermediate Championship campaign when they take on Taras this weekend. The game will take place on Saturday, 02nd September at 2:30pm at Greenford, pitch one, London, UB6 0NZ. As usual, make sure you check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and ensure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation for the game. After an encouraging couple of games so far let’s keep the momentum going as the Harps will hope to go one step further in 2017 than last years journey.

The Harps reserve team are also out directly after the first team, taking on Kingdom Kerry Gaels, again at Greenford, pitch two for this one, London, UB6 0NZ on Saturday 02nd September at 4:00pm. Let’s hope for another battling performance and try and push on for a victory.

Previous Matches:

Harlesden Harps continued their championship campaign with a very impressive victory over St Anthony’s on a scoreline of Harps 4-14 St Anthony’s 0-03. Right from the throw-in the Harps dominated the game racking up some impressive early scores. Imposing displays throughout the team from the likes of Padraig McGoldrick, Darren Lynch, John Rafferty and Peter Rafferty but hard to pick a fault in the team from this game. It’s another impressive performance to take forward but plenty of tough tests await in the competition. Let’s now carry this good form on into the next game of the championship.

The Harps reserve team were also in action against Fulham Irish in their opening championship game. After a close first half the greater experience and fitness of Fulham showed towards the end as they eased to victory by 12 points. Still plenty to build on from the Harps with fighting showings from the likes of Cormac Marrinan, Barra Rowntree and Timmy Hynes. Onwards to the next game!

Training:

Training continues this week taking place on Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30pm in The Shamrock Club, 307A Horn Lane, Acton, W3 0BP (nearest tube station: North Acton on the Central Line). Any new players wishing to "play a bit a ball" are very welcome to come along to this well-run club. If needed we can offer good jobs, along with accommodation and a social life to our members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged.

As usual, check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and make sure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation.
