The weekend got off to a great start when Parnells U14 succeeded in securing a win against St Kiernans in the Championship Semi Final on Friday evening.  The youngsters put on a great display of football and the final score was 7 – 15 to 0 – 6.  Colin Corrigan (Manager) and the team are looking forward to playing in the final.

Saturday was extremely busy up in Northwick Park.  The annual u12 tournament was a great day.  Blessed with good weather and fantastic football, the players and supporters were a credit to their clubs and London football.  We welcomed Tara, St Kiernans, Gael Londain, TCG, NLS and Round Towers.  Tara won two trophies:  the Conrad Ryan Cup and Gerry Somers Shield and Parnells won the Nora Togher Plate.  Thank you to all our own club members who helped on the day and especially the referees.  It was great to welcome Jamie and Daniel Somers, Tom and Shane Togher, Bernie and Roisin Ryan who presented their respective trophies.  Your departed ones are always in the club’s thoughts.

Football action continued on Sunday for the Senior Men.  A day of mixed fortunes; defeat for the Reserve side against St Kiernans and a draw in the Senior League against Eire Og.

All the age groups from the Youth section are looking forward to the ABC tournament and we wish Provincial Council a successful weekend and hope to see youth football contested at its best.

Parnells would like to extend their congratulations to the South London Feile team who won the Division 2 title.
