Next Match:

Harlesden Harps will hope to put their recent loss in the league behind them when they take on Cú Chulainns in their next game. The match will take place this Sunday, 14th May at 2:00pm at Greenford, pitch two, London, UB6 0NZ. The game offers a chance to get back to winning ways for the team and show improvement on the previous performance. Let’s start the game well and give ourselves a chance of kicking off our league campaign.

As usual, make sure you check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and ensure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation for the game.

Previous Match:

The Harps opened up their league campaign with a narrow loss to St Clarets last Tuesday. A close game throughout, our boys dug deep to get back into the game in the second half but the concession of a late soft goal put paid to any chances of victory. The points were spread out amongst the team with Padraig McGoldrick top scorer on the night for the Harps. Overall though a sub-standard and laboured performance which the team now needs to pick up their form in the next league game (see above for details).

Reserve Team:

Harlesden Harps will once again proudly enter a team in Reserve football competitions for 2017. This will allow a greater involvement for more players and makes it an exciting time for the club.

The teams first competitive fixture is this coming Thursday 18th of May against Taras in the AIB Reserve Football League. Throw in for the game is at 7:15pm. In order to have a proper warm up and preparation, aim to get to Northolt Rugby Club, Cayton Road, Greenford, (UB6 8BJ) in plenty of time. Let’s hope for a big turnout and a winning start to the competition for the team.

Homegrown Blitz:

Our homegrown team hope to take to the field on Saturday 10th June in Birmingham in a homegrown blitz competition. A good chance to keep the certain players ticking over and to showcase the local born element to the club.

Training:

Training continues this week taking place Tuesday and Thursday at 7:45pm in The Shamrock Club, 307A Horn Lane, Acton, W3 0BP (nearest tube station: North Acton on the Central Line). Any new players wishing to "play a bit a ball" are very welcome to come along to this well-run club. If needed we can offer good jobs, along with accommodation and a social life to our members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged.

As usual, check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and make sure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation.
