TCG Club Notes – Monday 10th April 2017
Easter Well Wishes
The Club would like to wish all members a very Happy Easter. We hope you all enjoy your break however you will be spending it.
Result – TCG Juniors 1-08 St Clarets 0-03
The Junior Team continued the defence of The McCardle Cup on a scorching hot day in Greenford on Sunday afternoon, this time taking on old rivals St Clarets in a repeat of last season’s championship Semi-Final.
The Gales team had the grace of the wind in the first half and started strongly to go 3 points up within the first 10 minutes. They continued their strong play down the middle, and a following some good work from the forwards, a break from Liam Cunningham saw him rattle the onion bag with a fine effort to register the only goal of the game. A further 3 points before half time left the score at 1-06 to 0-0 at the interval.
A change in personnel at half time from St Clarets saw them begin the 2nd half strongly as they got the first 2 points of the half. The Midfield duo of Conor McCarthy and Ewan Vassallo had their work cut out trying to field the ball against a very strong wind, but the young guns persevered and were rewarded midway through the 2nd half as Patrick Flynn pointed from a tight angle for the first Gales score of the half. Strong play from the Gales defence restricted St Clarets to only 1 more point which was then cancelled out by a Donal Geraghty free. This proved to be the last action of the day as the Gales ran out deserved winners.
Final score - TCG Juniors 1-08 St Clarets 0-03.

Saturday 29th April – TCG Seniors vs Parnells – Tipperary Cup – 3.30pm in Greenford
Please come down and support the lads in all of these games at home in Greenford.

Date for the diary – this will be held on Sunday 30th April 2017 in Greenford.
1992/93 Reunion
The Club will be hosting a reunion for all players and members from the early 90's and will be honouring players from the 1992/93 championship winning team. This is an open invite to all past and current members. This will be held on Sat 28th October 2017. Further details to follow.
Ruislip Development – Seat Plaques
The Ruislip Development Committee are offering people the opportunity to have your name on a plaque on a seat in the new stand development. Each Plaque costs £125 and will remain in place full time.
