Hurling Super Games Centre

London GAA will be re-launching the Hurling Super Games Centre at Tir Chonaill Gaels Grounds in Greenford on Saturday, February 25th at 2pm. The Super Games Centre will continue every week at the same time for 5 weeks and provide every child in London and beyond, regardless of whether they are club affiliated or not, the opportunity to take up hurling and play it an enjoyable and safe environment.

All boys and girls from 6 - 18 years old can participate with equipment provided. There will be NO CHARGE to participants, so all the children have to do is show up and play the game. All are welcome and we intend to advertise this within the clubs and schools and also to promote it through the various social media outlets but please pass on the information to anyone that you think may be interested. Our intention is for the Super Games Centre to drum up interest in the game and encourage a whole new generation to enjoy our native sport!

Any further information please contact:Lloyd Colfer (cda.london@gaa.ie) 078 72600073.

Gaelic Football Coaching Course

London GAA are running a Level One Gaelic Football Coaching Course over 4 Saturdays: February 18th, March 11th, April 8th and 22nd - all of which will be in the Tir Chonaill Gaels Grounds, Greenford. The Courses are limited to 25 people and in the interest of fairness, we will only accept 5 nominations from each Club.

Course will run from 9 am until 5pm with a half an hour Lunch Break at 1pm - lunch is provided.

There will theory based work and practical work involved on the Course so coaches should bring appropriate training gear/footwear.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis so please contact Lloyd Colfer Community Development Administrator 078 72600073 ASAP if you are interested in attending. Finally, we would urge as many of you as possible to please take up this opportunity to further your coaching education which can only benefit your Club and London GAA.

U-17 Gaelic Football Development 11 a side with a panel of 16 Tournament

London GAA will be launching an U-17 Gaelic Football Development 11 a side with a panel of 16 Tournament in the coming weeks starting Saturday 4th of February under floodlights in Greenford, UB6 0NZ. We would urge all clubs to take up this opportunity and participate in the matches as it's vital for the players development & a great opportunity for the young players to play the game in a competitive environment so we would encourage all Clubs to participate. The London GAA U-17 Development Squad Management will be in attendance each week at the matches and this year's Development Squad will be selected after the Tournament has been completed. Could you please Lloyd Colfer CDA 078 72600073 know whether or not the Club will be participating before Thursday, January 27th at 5pm to allow fixtures to be drawn up.
