MEN’S FOOTBALL

The Men’s team suffered disappointment in the Junior Championship semi-finals against Tara in Greenford on Sunday last.  Unfortunately, we were slow out of blocks as our opponents built up a lead in the early stages. Dulwich came back into the game in the latter part of the first half and would have gone in at the break closer to our opponents had it not been for some wayward shooting. Half-time score: Tara 1-07 Dulwich 0-03.

Dulwich needed a quick start to the second period but Tara began the second period in the same manner as the first. Nonetheless the boys remained competitive until the end of the game with some excellent scores. Final score: Tara 1-17 Dulwich 1-08.

There is not much time for dwell on the result as the Men’s team are still in the running for the League semi-finals with one league game remaining.

CLUB DINNER DANCE

The club dinner dance will be taking place on Saturday, October 15th at the Marriott Hotel, West India Quay, E14 4ED. Tickets are £45 per person on the night with music being arranged. Please contact Dave Draper or Shane Rafferty for further information. We welcome all club members, old and new, to join us on the night.

NEW ARRIVALS

The club would like to congratulate two of Dulwich’s Ladies players, Anne Marie Ballantyne on the birth of twins Freddie and Isaac and to Kelly Franklin on the birth of baby Caolan.

KNOW YOUR SPORT 2016

The Know Your Sport competition is down to the final three questions – the All-Ireland football finals and the rescheduled boxing event in October. Refer to the club’s Facebook page and the club website for further information.
