Next Matches:

Harlesden Harps have the next game in the VGC Intermediate Football Championship this coming Saturday 20^th August at 3:00pm against Heston Gaels. The match will take place at Greenford (pitch one), London, (UB6 0NZ). A win is vital if the Harps wish to progress to the knock-out stages of the competition so let’s all put in a massive effort for this one.

Harlesden Harps reserve team are also in action this weekend when they play their next game in their championship campaign against Éire Óg this Sunday 21^st August at 12:00pm at Greenford (pitch one), London, (UB6 0NZ). Let’s make sure we get there early to prepare properly and start the campaign off with a victory.

As usual, for both games check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and make sure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation for the games.

Previous Matches:

Harlesden Harps reserve team took on a very strong North London Shamrocks outfit last Saturday in Greenford. Although the Harps played some fine football at times it was the Shamrocks ability to slice through the Harps defence for goals which really never put the result in doubt, the Shamrocks winning convincingly in the end. Thanks to all who came out and put in a shift, let’s hope for a better turn out for their next game (see above for details).

Congratulations to Chairman Michael Cawley on his recent win in the London County Board draw, hope he spends his winnings wisely!

Training:

For current players training continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:45pm in The Shamrock Club, 307A Horn Lane, Acton, W3 0BP (nearest tube station: North Acton on the Central Line). New players are always welcome to this well run club which if needed can offer jobs, accommodation and a social life to their members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged. Any new players wishing to "play a bit a ball" are very welcome to come along.
