Next Matches:

Harlesden Harps senior team play their next game in the AIB Division 2 League this Saturday 30th July at 3:00pm against St Clarets. The game takes place at Greenford (pitch one), London, (UB6 0NZ). Let’s hope the lads put in a big performance and keep the winning run going.

As usual, check public transport is in use and for any likely traffic delays, etc and make sure everyone is at the venue nice and early for a proper preparation for the game.

Previous Matches:

Harlesden Harps senior team played St Anthonys last Saturday in the opening round of the VGC Intermediate Championship in Greenford. Some excellent scoring and play throughout from the men in green and white as they comfortably eased to a win on a scoreline of 0 -17 – 0-05. Peter Rafferty was top scorer kicking some fine points in both halves but it was a total team effort with all players working hard throughout and getting on top of their direct opponent. Let’s keep the winning momentum going for the next game against St Clarets (see above).

Homegrown Championship:

Our homegrown team took to the field in the semi-final of this championship last Tuesday evening against Tír Chonaill Gaels. Unfortunately, they never quite got going in the match and ended up being soundly beaten by the home team on a scoreline of 2-15 to 0-09.

Reserve Championship:

The draw has been made for the reserve championship with the Harps grouped together with ÉireÓg, North London Shamrocks, Parnells and Taras. Their opening fixture is on 06th August against Parnells, details to follow closer to the time.

Training:

For current players training continues every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:45pm in The Shamrock Club, 307A Horn Lane, Acton, W3 0BP (nearest tube station: North Acton on the Central Line). New players are always welcome to this well run club which if needed can offer jobs, accommodation and a social life to their members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged. Any new players wishing to "play a bit a ball" are very welcome to come along.
