Holloway Gaels club notes 20th June 2016

London Intermediate Championship v KKG

Sunday morning saw Holloway Gaels take on Kingdom Kerry Gaels in the last game of the championship to secure their place in the London Senior County Final. Both teams started well from the throw-in but Holloway Gaels soon started to dictate the pace, and with some excellent support play, ensured a comfortable lead going into the break. Unfortunately for KKG they struggled to get back into in the game in the second half. Despite some good ball into their forwards, the Holloway Gaels full back line proved too strong. The Holloway backs and mid-field fed the ball quickly from the breakdown into their forwards, who were sharp in front of the posts. KKG to their credit never gave up but in the Holloway Gaels put on a great display of free flowing football, and won out on a score line of 7-21 to 0-3. They now look forward to facing Parnells Ladies in the Senior County Final on July 2nd.

Race night

Holloway Gaels will host a race night on Friday the 8th of July in Tommy Flynns, Holloway Road. First horse out of the blocks at 7pm.
