It's been quiet over the last few weeks for our mens team due to the London senior and junior teams playing in their respective championships. The seniors play Offaly in Tullamore on Saturday in the All-Ireland qualifiers and the juniors play Warwickshire in the All-Britain Semi Final in Birmingham on Sunday. Good luck to Shane Buckley and Alfie McNulty who are playing a part on both of these panels.

The Toureen Mangan London Junior Football Championship draw has been made. We have been drawn in group 2 alongside Éire Og, Dulwich Harps, Father Murphy's and Naomh Padraig. The first round will be played the weekend of Sunday 10th July.

However, our youth teams had a particularly busy weekend and represented the club well as usual.

Youth Update

Firstly we would like to congratulate 3 of our U14 players for being selected to represent London at the Feile competition in Ireland this coming weekend. Oisin Murphy and Cormac Sibley have been selected to play in the U14 boys London team and Lily McNulty has been selected to play in the U14 girls London Team. This is a massive achievement for these young players and everyone in the club is very proud of them, we wish them the best of luck in their trip to Ireland.

Our U14s took to the field last Tuesday evening in Greenford and had a great win over TCG. The U14s have now played all their league games and have only been defeated once, we look forward to the games coming up in the next few weeks, it'll be a busy few weeks.

Our U16s returned to the field on Friday night to play Parnells in Northwick Park. This was the first game after the break for exams and although we were defeated by Parnells it was great to get the lads out playing again.

On Sunday our girls took to the field for the first time this year to take part in the girls 'go games' in Greenford sponsored by Vince McCarthy (TCG). After a long wait to get going the girls played 2 great games, we narrowly lost to TCG and Tara's were a bit too strong for us, but this didn't put our girls off and they played throughout with determination and battled through to defend to the bitter end. They are a great credit to the club.

We would like to thank all the parents for their support over the last week, it's been a busy week and a number of parents are on road covering a number of age groups and helping out with lifts, all your help and support is greatly appreciated.

Reminder that the ABC competition will be taking place on 8/9/10 July. Our U8s and U10s will be participating on Friday 8th, Girls and U16s on Sat 9th and U14s on Sun 10th,  it's sure to be a great weekend. We ask that all parents make sure their child doesn't miss out on taking part in this great event.
