Thomas McCurtains GAA Club Notes.

It was a relatively quiet weekend for the club with only one team in action. On Saturday last our Hurlers recorded a brilliant victory over Granuaile in the League with Podge Ryan having an excellent game. Vacating his usual spot in goals he took up residence in corner forward for this match and managed to bag not one, not two but three goals for his efforts.

Congratulations also go to the McCurtains Footballers who were on the London Junior County Panel at the weekend. They beat Gloucestershire 3-16 to 2-03 in Ruislip to qualify for the British Junior Football Championship Semi-Finals.

The club will be hosting a EURO 2016 themed race night on Saturday 18th June 2016 in Tommy Flynns Bar & Kitchen, Leytonstone. It is £10 to buy a horse and anybody wishing to do so can contact a member of the club. Horses can be named with a euro 2016 theme and dress on the night to show your support for your favourite Euro 2016 country, be it Ireland, England or anyone else. Prizes for best name of horse and best outfit on the night. Last years was a huge success and this year should be no different.
