London Senior ACL Div 1 – Result

The Joes put in a spirited performance at Colindale last Sunday past however came up short against a very strong Fulham Irish outfit.

The Joes started the stronger of the two teams and rattled off a number of points in the opening 15 minutes, however Fulham Irish came back strong and started to dominate responding with fine scores of their own, leaving the Joes rueing a number of missed opportunities in the opening 1/4. The Joes however plugged away and led by a point at the interval thanks to a fine effort from Emmet Haughey which seen the ball rattle the back of the net.

HT score 1-3 – 0-5

The second half seen Fulham Irish come out all guns blazing and rattled off 1-5 without response to leave them in an extremely dominant position with a large portion of the 2nd period remaining. However to our credit the Joes plugged away and scored 1-1 in the latter half, Emmet Haughey netting his second major of the day. However this was not enough to prevent the first loss of the season as Fulham chipped away at the scoreboard.
A brave performance from the team against an experienced side, which will stand to them going forward in the Division.

FT score St.Joseph’s 2-04 Fulham Irish 4-08
