Hurling Go Games Day at Ruislip

London GAA were hosts to an Underage Go Games/Skills Hurling Day last Saturday in Ruislip as part of the London GAA 1916 Commemorations. Damien Curley from Connacht GAA was invited over to London to work with all of our young Gaels who are interested in Hurling.

30 children both boys and girls attended the Go Games Centre. The children really enjoyed the hurling skills/games day and all got involved in all the activities that were set for them. A successful day was run by Lloyd Colfer CDA in London along with coaches Coleen Lynott, Rita O' Mahoney, Donal Corbett, Paddy Curtin, Damien Coleman . Coach Damien Coleman said it was a great honor to be invited over to London from Connacht GAA Council for the 3rd year running. Compliments must go to the Clubs and coaches here in London and to the CDA Lloyd Colfer for organising such a successful day.
Lloyd Colfer said it was great to have our guest and coach Damien Coleman over from Ireland a coach of such high caliber and experience here in London at our centre.

London Youth Development Squad

Last Sunday London Youth Development Squad took on Warwickshire before the London v Louth game in Ruislip. It was a fantastic display from our London development squad with Warwickshire leading by one point at the end of the first half. After a hard fight Warwickshire were the ones to win by a narrow two point margin. The final scoreline was London 2-06 to Warwickshire 2-08. Warwickshire raised the McCarthy Cup which was kindly sponsored by Vincent McCarthy. No doubt London will be back to win the cup next year. Well done to all the London Youths development squad and Lloyd Colfer and all the management who put in a tremendous amount of work throughout the year.

London U10's Half Time Mini Exhibition

Well done to all the children from St Kiernans, Round Towers and Tir Chonaill Gaels Clubs who put on a fantastic Half Time Mini Exhibition display at the London v Louth game in Ruislip last Sunday. The children really enjoyed the game and were all presented with a nice memorable 1916 London GAA Medal by the County Board Chairman John Lacey. Thanks to all who helped to organise the display.
