Murphy Cup:

Harlesden Harps will play the final of the Murphy Cup this Saturday 16th of April against St Josephs. Throw in for the game is at 5:00pm, with extra time being played if needed. Hopefully the winning momentum will be kept up, with the added carrot of the first piece of silverware of the new season at stake. In order to have a proper warm up and preperation, aim to get to Ruislip in plenty of time.

Previous Match:
Harlesden Harps continued their Murphy Cup campaign with a convincing 1-13 1-07 semi-final win over Cuchulainns in Ruislip last Saturday. Playing with the wind in the first half the Harps displayed some fine point taking to take a six point lead into the break. Although the Cú’s dragged themselves back into the contest with a goal early in the second half, the men in green dug deep and some outstanding defensive displays saw them never fall behind. Captain, Robert Reid, put the seal on victory with a late goal and send Harps through to the first final of the season. Let’s hope they keep this winning form going for their next game in the final against St Josephs (see above).

Training:

For current players training continues every Thursday at 7:45pm in The Shamrock Club, 307A Horn Lane, Acton, W3 0BP (nearest tube station: North Acton on the Central Line). New players are always welcome to this well run club which if needed can offer jobs, accommodation and a social life to their members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged. Any new players wishing to "play a bit a ball" are very welcome to come along.

Race Night:

Harlesden Harps race night takes place this coming Saturday, 16/04/16 in Greenes Bar, Neasden. It all kicks off at 8pm with plenty of ceol, caint agus craic guaranteed. Please return any completed race cards to any senior member of the club by Thursday evening. We hope to see you there!

Trainer:

A warm welcome to Paudí Mescall from Clare who is helping out with training for the team this year.
