Harlesden Harps GFC Club Notes

March 31, 2016

Murphy Cup:

Harlesden Harps will have their final group game of the Murphy Cup this Saturday 02nd of April against Moindearg. Throw in for the game is at 5:00pm. It is important to get a positive result to both maintain the recent winning momentum and to qualify for the knock-out stages of the competition. In order to have a proper warm up, aim to get there in plenty of time: Wormwood Scrubs, London, W12 0DF.

Recent Matches:
Harlesden Harps continued their Murphy Cup campaign with a deserved 1-16 2-06 win over St. Brendan’s in Tottenhall recently. The game was a step up for the Harps but the team coped admirably with some excellent football being played at times and some fine point taking on show. Let’s hope the Harps keep this winning form going for their next game against Moindearg (see above).

Training:

For current players training continues every Thursday at 7:45pm in The Shamrock Club, 307A Horn Lane, Acton, W3 0BP (nearest tube station: North Acton on the Central Line). New players are always welcome to this well run club which if needed can offer jobs, accommodation and a social life to their members. Transport to and from training and pick up from local stations can also be arranged. Any new players wishing to "play a bit a ball" are very welcome to come along.

Trainer:

A warm welcome to Paudí Mescall from Clare who is helping out with training for the team this year.
