A good team performance from a largely new Cu Chulainns team. Only 5 first team players from last year started and it will take a couple of games for the team to gel. Costly mistakes led to the soft concession of a goal and six points. Cu Chulainns fought to the very end and had great performances all over the pitch especially from Damien Maloney who scored 1-04 and Gavin McCarron who sadly played his last game for the club. We wish him all the best.

First win of the season for Cu Chulainns. Nice scores taken by Cianan Byrne, Ger Byrne, Mark Devlin and Brian O Leary in the forwards. All six backs worked very hard throughout. Cu's welcomed back Conor Harrington from injury and he had a great game.

Final score Cu Chulainns 1-11 Heston Gaels 0-11
